Sabudana Wada by Pinky

I have always been a big fan of the "Upavas food" as they say in marathi. Its supposed to be healthy & easy to make. This is a subudana wada recipe from Pinky (my friend & also my friend Raghav's wife). These patties are really easy to make & have been an all time favorite finger food of all the kids that I have known.

Ingredients

Sabudana - 1 cup
Boiled Potato - 2
Roasted Peanuts - 1/2 cup
Finely chopped Green chilles
Finely chopped Coriander
Kaddi patta
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder (optional)
Dry Mango powder
Cumin powder

Method
  1. Soak Sabudana in water for 3 - 4 hours. Put less water and do not keep them soaked for too long.
  2. Grind the roasted peanuts.
  3. Mix mashed potatoes, sabudana, grinded peanuts, green chilles, coriander, kaddi patta, dry mango powder, salt, cumin powder, and red chilli powder.
  4. Make flattened roundles.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crispy.
Serve hot with sweetened yoghurt or your favourite chutney.
